My first visit to Gettysburg is when my mother took me there as a child. I had just seen the movie Gettysburg for the first time, and now it was time to bring history to life. My first memory was visiting the old visitor’s center and seeing the electric map. While the re-emergence of the electric map is a whole other story itself, it was my first interaction with the town and battlefield. Much has changed in Gettysburg over the past 25 years since my first visit, but of course very much is still the same… and that’s great!
I make it a point to travel to Gettysburg at least once each year and though I’ve been there many, many times… I still always find something new to try… something new to continue my Gettysburg experience.
Over the past few years, I’ve found that I really enjoy helping friends plan their trips to Gettysburg, especially for first timers. In this podcast, I’ll provide an in depth look at planning a trip to Gettysburg and how to go about it. Below is the the outline of this podcast.

My Winter in Gettysburg Video
In early 2011, I visited Gettysburg during the winter months in order to experiment with some new video gear I had just purchased. I ended up getting snowed in for a few days and it was probably one of the best memories I have.
